Your application will be assessed on the basis of the information contained in this application so please complete it accurately, and as fully as possible.
Applications always outnumber places and a selection procedure will decide the final expedition team. Previous expedition experience is not necessary, but applicants must be fit and healthy.

Many potential applicants are deterred by the apparent difficulty of gaining experience or funding for such a project. In reality no candidate faces any difficulty, unless and until they have successfully completed selection.

Suitable applicants will be invited to attend one of our Selection Courses which are run at weekends.
Those who pass selection will, if they still wish to go, be offered a place. Those who are doubtful may be offered an alternative expedition.

After Christmas, all those committed to the venture will be asked to confirm their place.

Selected members are expected to attend two Training Days and a training weekend. Selection and training days are arranged so that they do not interfere with school/college/examination work.

To apply send this completed application form to the Expedition Leader, together with the number of passport-size photographs specified on the expedition details page and a non-returnable deposit cheque for £50. (Cheques should be made payable as instructed on the Expedition details form, N.B. If we cannot offer you a place on Selection your cheque will be immediately returned. Do not wait to get a passport to apply.)
